A Complete Escape -- Before You Even Start Driving

There's more to luxury than wrapping everything in leather. So in crafting the interior of the all-new Maxima, our California-based design team aimed to tantalize all the senses -- including the most refined of tastes.
Size matters: The all-new Maxima is roomier in all key dimensions, with 2.9 cubic-feet more interior space than before and ample seating for five adults.

Feels right: Minor design changes mean major ergonomic improvements: we curved the front door panels up and out for more driver knee room; moved the steering wheel back 0.8" and down 1 degree for a more natural driving position; pushed the parking brake handle back 0.8" for better knee clearance; and placed the stereo above the AC/heat system for immediate
access to more frequently used controls.

More support: Using electric pulses, we measured muscle fatigue in the human body and made certain areas of the seats firmer, used a softer foam in others, and developed a more rigid seat frame to better absorb vibration. Even the armrest* can be raised and lowered for greater comfort.

Smart spaces: Taking possessions along is easier thanks to a larger trunk with a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat back, a cell-phone storage space in the center console (which also features a second 12-volt outlet for rear passengers), dual front and rear covered cupholders, even space for up to 16 CD's.

Nice touches: The Maxima surrounds you in a luxurious cabin that is quieter than ever, and the GLE includes leather seating surfaces, wood-tone trim and power-adjustable front seats -- all standard.

No sweat: Accessories like standard air conditioning and a one-touch sunroof make driving a breeze. Automatic Temperature Control (standard on GLE, optional on SE) automatically varies fan speed, the level of heat or coolness, and vent selection to keep the interior just like you like it.

HomeLink® Security: A HomeLink Universal Transceiver** on the driver's sun visor operates up to three remote-control devices - such as the front gate, garage door and house lights* - from the comfort and security of your Maxima.
